In its latest update, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has revealed that 125 Crore Indians have now got there unique 12 digit Aadhaar number. Aadhaar which has became an essential tool of identity verification has now less than 10 crore Indians out of its ambit.
The Aadhaar Project has achieved this success within a decade of its implementation in the year 2010. Over the years the usage of Aadhaar has rapidly increased ranging from KYC to filing of tax returns.

The UIDAI also informed that since its inception the Aadhaar-based authentication services have been used close to 37,000 crore.
