A communal remark given by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA has sparked controversy. The MLA from Byculla Waris Pathan while addressing a rally on 15th February gave the communal remarks.
In a video grab that is going viral Pathan is heard saying that 15 Crore Muslims of India would outweigh 100 Crore Hindus in the country. Pathan also replied to the comment by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Shaheen Bagh. Adityanath said that the Muslim community has sent its women and children at the forefront.

“They tell us that we’ve kept our women in the front – only the lionesses have come out & you’re already sweating”, said Pathan. “You can understand what would happen if all of us come together. 15 crore hain magar 100 ke upar bhaari hain, ye yaad rakh lena”, he added. Earlier in 2013 AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi gave similar kind of a remark. He said that ‘if police is removed for 15 minutes, we (Muslims) will finish 100 crore Hindus”.
