While the deadly gas leak from LG Polymers hit the city of Vizag last month another one has happened now. This time it is a pharmaceutical company. The leak is reported at a location 40 Km outside the city. Sainor Life Sciences Private Limited is the place where the incident has happened.
As per reports from The Hindu 2 people are dead while 4 have fallen sick as a result of the release of benzimidazole vapors. As per initial investigations, the deceased have been identified as shift operators Narendra and Gowri Shankar. Out of the 4 sick people admitted to the hospital, one is said to be critical.
The leak has been controlled and the cases were being booked against the company said the Commissioner of Police Vizag R.K. Meena. Interestingly this is the second such incident in the company. In September 2015, two workers were charred to death and five others were injured in a reactor blast.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took note of the situation. The incident is reported to have taken place due to a leak near the reactor at 11.30 p.m. on Monday. The impact of the leak was limited thus, causing less damage than the LG polymer ones.
