The mastermind of the 26/11 Taj attack in India and founder of Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Saeed is sentenced to 11 years prison. Saeed is sentenced in terror financing cases. An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan announced its judgment on Wednesday.
Hafiz is sentenced to five and a half years and has been imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 in each case. The sentences of both cases will run concurrently. Cases were registered against Saeed in Lahore and Gujranwala cities on the application of the Counter-Terrorism Department of Punjab police.

Saeed has been designated as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US Department of the Treasury since 2012. US has also put a $10 million reward on information related to Saeed.
