26/11 mastermind and global terrorist Hafiz Saeed might be soon released after the FATF verdict. The terrorist Saeed was recently served an 11-year jail term in two cases by a Lahore court.
As per the latest reports, Pakistani authorities would release him after the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) meeting. FATF’s meeting is scheduled to begin in Paris from 16th February that is Sunday. The meeting would decide whether Pakistan would be placed in the blacklist for failing to curb terrorism or not.

The lawyers of Saeed have said that they would challenge the judgment in Lahore High Court. Earlier when Hafiz was sentenced to a jail term its timing was doubt as Pakistan’s move to safeguard itself from FATF’s action. Moreover, Pakistan would take advantage of International loopholes to release Hafiz after FATF’s verdict.
