At a time when the world is battling a serious crisis, the ‘terrorists’ are busy in adding to the destructions. A Gurudwara ( Sikh pilgrimage site) in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul was attacked killing around 27 civilians.
Unidentified gunmen and suicide bombers stormed a Sikh gurudwara at 7:45 AM on Wednesday. At the time of the attack, 150 worshippers were inside the building. 15 wounded people and 1 dead child had been brought to a local hospital. Informed spokesman Wahidullah Mayar from Afghan Health Ministry.

India condemned the attack straightaway. “Suicide attack on a Gurudwara Sahib in Kabul needs to be strongly condemned. These killings are a grim reminder of atrocities that continue to be inflicted upon religious minorities in some countries and the urgency with which their lives & religious freedom have to be safeguarded“, tweeted Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
As per the latest inputs from ANI, all the 4 terrorists who attacked the gurudwara have been killed by Afghan security forces (ASF). The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group earlier targeted a Sikh gathering in Afghanistan 2 years back where 19 people were killed.
