In a bizarre incident, a Ugandan imam has been snapped of his duties after he found that his wife is actually a man.
The truth was exposed when the man was caught stealing from a neighbour’s house. He later revealed that he wanted to marry Sheikh Mohammed Mutumba, and then steal from him.
To add to the imam’s dismay, he has also been ripped off his post as a cleric at the Kyampisi Masjid Noor mosque.

Later the imam revealed that he hadn’t got physical with his ” so-called wife” because she told him she was menstruating. The imam also revealed that the man had told him that his name is Swabullah Nabukeera.
When he was caught stealing a television and cloth, a woman inspector was assigned to search him thinking he is she. Alas!! she discovered, kbhi jo jesa dihkhta hasi wesa hota nhi.
Mutumba is said to be ‘too devastated’ to talk about the incident and needs counselling. Off course.

His familiars accepted to completely being fooled by the miscreant as he had, for the most part, veiled his face and ‘had a sweet soft voice and walked like a woman.’
On snapping off the duties form imam, the mosque’s head imam, Sheikh Isa Busuulwa, said the suspension was necessary to ‘preserve the integrity of their faith.’
