3 Engineers of India who were held hostage for around a year by the Afghan Taliban have been released on Sunday. As per the official reports the 3 engineers were released in exchange of 11 militants of Taliban including some high ranked officials.

Officials of Taliban shared photo and footage of what they said was the freed militants being greeted after their release. Last year Seven Indian engineers working for a power plant in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan Province were kidnapped.
So, far no comments have been received from Afghan or Indian authorities.
