India is dangerously climbing the COVID-19 curve leaving the government and citizens in worry. As it crossed the 50, 000 mark in terms of the number of cases the doubling rate at present is 11 days. The last 24 hours of data revealed by the government is something not very positive.
As per the latest updates by the Health Ministry, the number of cases have crossed the 52, 000 mark in the country. In the last 24 hours, 3500 cases have been added taking the tally up. 90 deaths have also been reported in the same time period taking the toll to 1783.
The only positive thing in the data is that over 15,000 patients have recovered so far. The jump is seen from 41,000 on 4tth May to around 53, 000 today morning. That is there is a rise of around 12, 000 cases in the last 2 and half days.
While lockdown have been helping in containment testing is the only solution to reduce the rate. Extended lockdown would be normal as we have seen the case where states like Telangana have taken it till 29th May.
