45 people including 20 women were arrested for running a fake call center in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. The arrests were made by Noida police from sector 6 (where the call center was operating) on Thursday.

The call center was involved in duping money from people in the name of popular shopping portals such as Flipkart and Myntra via a fake calls. Police has recovered 16 walkie-talkies, 29 mobile phones, and two computer systems from the spot.

The accused have been booked under section 420 (fraud) of the India Penal Code and provisions of the Information Technology Act.
