While you were scrolling and liking pictures on your Instagram lying on the bed in quarantine the app went through a glitch. Yes, the popular photo-sharing social media app got a glitch that saw some ‘extra-long’ pictures getting in. Though the glitch was not faced by all it created a buzz in social media.
As per reports by Verge the glitch was visible only in the iOS version of the app. Due to the glitch, the iOS app users were seeing the extra-long version of images in their feeds. In some user’s feed the images were so long that they spanned across three scrolls before the next post showed up.
Actually the app was not able to crop the long images that users were posting. Instagram soon looked at the glitch and removed it. Some users also complained that the app showed a server error when they tried to upload long images. The glitch pixelated images or made them look all Black.

The social media app meanwhile announced that it will start showing Stories with Covid-19 information from credible health organizations. However, users, who don’t follow any such health organization would not be seeing their stories.
