India is on the edge with good chances of it losing the first ODI match against Australia in ongoing India vs Australia ODI series. And the players to take the latter past the victory line would be Aaron Finch (114), Glenn Maxwell (45) and Steve Smith (105).
As the first two, today, opened the game on a good note for Australia, Maxwell, in the last few overs, provided the additional thrust. But what these innings reminded Indians of was how the same players, hammering India today, were getting embarrassing scores during the IPL 2020.
Aaron Finch, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, scored only 268 in 12 matches, while Smith was a tad bit better scoring 311 runs for Rajasthan Royals. As for Maxwell, he had a forgettable outing for Kings XI Punjab, for whom he contributed a mere 108 runs in 13 clashes.
The chronology has the fans saying that purchasing Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell for the IPL was the biggest scam of 2020.
Ok, so like we said, Australia beat India by 66 runs in the first ODI.
