After the saddening news of his death that came earlier today actor, ‘Irrfan Khan‘ was laid to rest. The celebrated actor was laid to rest in a low key gathering in Mumbai’s Versova. As per reports, the burial took place at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
He was buried in presence of wife Sutapa Sikdar and sons Aayan and Babil at the Versova kabrastan. Some friends and family members were also their beside the wife and kids.
“Irrfan was buried at the Versova kabrastan in Mumbai at 3 pm this afternoon soon after the news of his passing away was announced. In presence were his family, close relatives, and friends. Everyone paid their final respects and mourned the loss of his passing away. We pray for his peace and we hope he’s in a better place today. He was strong in his fight, and we all have to be strong too in this loss“, said Irrfan’s representatives in their statement.

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia who directed the actor in a number of films from Paan Singh Tomar to Saheb Biwi Gangster Return was there at the hospital. ‘I am sad how small his funeral will be‘, said Dhulia. Irrfan was suffering from neuroendocrine tumor and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for colon infection yesterday. He breathed his last in the hospital today.
