Actor Rhea Chakraborty, in the news for her suspected link with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, was on Tuesday arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The arrest comes three days after NCB’s back to back questioning with Rhea in her connection with drugs-related allegations.
The 28-year-old actor’s brother, Showik, had been arrested last week and has been named in the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14. It was noted that Showik used to get Rhea drugs, which she allegedly used to give to Sushant.
The Narcotics Control Bureau had begun its inquiry after WhatsApp chats from Rhea’s phone were retrieved and were suspected to show a drug angle involved. The conversations were around Rhea procuring drugs, allegedly for Sushant Singh Rajput.
As per reports, Rhea Chakraborty recently also made a declaration, telling the Narcotics Control Bureau – “Whatever I did, I did for Sushant”.
Rhea has been in continuous denial of consuming drugs but was arrested by the NCB after grueling hours of questioning.
Meanwhile, NCB arrested Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda (Sushant Rajput’s house manager) claiming that it has evidence linking the two of them to purchasing marijuana.
