As coronavirus scare has gripped the world, people are taking all the measures possible to curb its spreads. And one of the ways would be spreading awareness about the same.
Treading on the same route, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the people of the country to avoid any kind of physical touch, especially shaking hands or hugs (which is a cultural thing in most of the Muslim majority countries), as much as possible and instead use Namaste to greet people.

“Just avoid shaking hands as I do. You can try to implement the Indian system of Namaste or say another word like shalom, but find a way, any way of not shaking hands,” the Prime Minister said.
This comes after Israel neighbour, Iran, reported that coronavirus has spread to mostly all of its provinces. Till now, as many as 107 people have been killed in Iran due to the virus. Also, barons, including the Iran parliament members, have also been infected by the virus.

“We are in the middle of a global epidemic. We have had to take rigorous steps to slow down the spread of the disease in Israel, we have taken select isolation and flight policies and measures for flights,” he added.
Countries, including South Korea and Italy, have also been affected by coronavirus with the death toll rising up to 148 in the latter. As far as India is concerned, coronavirus cases in the country stand at 30.
Besides the Israel PM, Bollywood star Salman Khan also suggest people to opt for Salaam and Nasmste as a form to greet. “Namashkaar … hamari sabhyata mein namaste aur salaam hai!,” the actor captioned of the photo which has him folding his hand into a Namsnate.

“Jab #coronavirus khatam ho jaye tab maath milao aur gale lago,” he added.
