The state of Odisha has officially extended the lockdown till 30th April. The State has decided to go further with an additional 16 days lockdown till 30th April. The nation-wide lockdown called by Prime Minister Modi is about to end on 14th April.
Odisha now has become the 1st state to officially extend the lockdown. CM Naveen Patnaik made the announcement. Schools and colleges in the state would remain closed till 17th June. Though Mumbai is almost certain to extend it but no news about the entire Maharashtra has come. With almost all the state Chief Ministers advising the PM Modi to do so the extension of lockdown nationwide is all but certain.
After attending the all-party meeting chaired by PM Modi TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said PM gave enough hints about it. “ The PM said lifting the lockdown at one go is not advisable as several experts and states have suggested extending it“, said MP Sudip.

Earlier Uttar Pradesh government completely sealed Noida ( Gautam Buddh Nagar), Ghaziabad along with 13 other districts till 13th April. This was followed by Delhi and Madhya Pradesh sealing the respective hotspots.
