The newly sworn-in Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar was removed from the post of NCP’s legislative party leader on Saturday. Ajit Pawar is alleged to have taken the decision solely on behalf of its party NCP to join hands with BJP to form the government.

NCP along with coalition partner Congress and Shiv Sena was all set to form the government in the state of Maharashtra. The name of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackrey was also cleared by the three parties for the post of CM.

Now, all eyes are set on the floor test where the newly sworn-in CM Devendra Fadnavis would have to prove its majority.
