A high-level meeting was urgently called by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to check the status of India’s preparedness to fight with Covid-19 if the cases start surging in the country. The reason behind the alert is a sharp increase in number of covid cases in several neighboring Asian countries.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has started being vigilant because India has just started recovering from the third wave of Omicron spread. After a gap of more than 2 years the government has decided to resume normal operations of international flights from March 27.
