Alia Bhatt Invites Trolls, Again, As She Shares Wrong Indian Preamble Photo

Many celebrities have condemned the police action against students amidst protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, and so did Alia Bhatt. However, she messed up a tab bit, once again.

Alia, joining the likes of Sonakshi Sinha and Ishaan Khatter, notably took on Instagram Story to share the Preamble to the Constitution of India to commend police attack on students. However, she shared the wrong Preamble image and was trolled for the same.

Alia, in the story, shared the picture of the old Preamble which doesn’t have the words “Secular” and “Socialist”. These words were added to the Preamble after the forty-second amendment to the Constitution of India.

The amendment changed the country’s description from a “sovereign democratic republic” to a “sovereign socialist secular democratic republic.”

These changes were made during the Emergency period (1975-1977) by Indira Gandhi-led-congress government. Furthermore, the words “unity of the nation” were also changed to “unity and integrity of the nation.”

Alia had shared the story a day after her father and veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt joined the protest against the bill at Dr. B R Ambedkar’s abode in Mumbai.
