After seven months of becoming a working President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jagat Prakash Nadda is all set to fill in the highly-successful Amit Shah’s shoes as the new President of the party in the centre.
Nadda has filed for the post early told and will, as per the resources, unopposedly elected to power. Nadda, who has been a member of the Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly thrice in 1993, 1998, and 2007, emerged as the first choice for the vacant BJP President post after July Lok Sabha elcetion.
Within the party post the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP ministers would have been ok if Nadda were elected as the President of BJP over Shah. However, when the post didn’t fall inNadda’s kitty, he didn’t protest.
The post of the BJP President after Amit Shah left it to become the Home Minister has been lying vacant in the BJP office.
Nadda is dear to BJP because of his role in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. You may not have heard much about him as the 59-year-old maintains a low profile and is a man of ideology. The soothing effect of Himachal Pradesh where he was born? Maybe.
