In a press statement, Affirm said that Amazon buy-now-pay-later option to announce soon. Selected customers will be shown their total purchase cost upfront and will never pay what they agree at the checkout. In case, if customers choose Affirm, they will charge any sort of late fee or hidden charges.
Eric Morse, the Senior Vice President of Sales at Affirm said, “By partnering with Amazon we’re bringing the transparency, predictability and affordability that Affirm provides today to the millions of people who shop on Amazon.com in the U.S. Offering Affirm’s alternative to credit cards also delivers more of the payment choice and flexibility consumers on Amazon want.”
The company added to its statement that some Amazon purchases its finances will incur interest charges. However, Amazon hasn’t announced the number of customers, how the offer will see, and/or how it will appear on the app.
