Ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day Sale which is to be live on both July 15 and July 16th, the platform has added a new product customization feature. Users can use this ability to change the appearance of their products before purchasing and decide their final choice. This feature will be very useful for the customers buying gifts for someone or a new product for themselves.

These customizations include changing the colour of the product or adding either inscriptions or images to it. Even for a few selected products customers can also change fonts. Moreover, the customizable products will not charge extra. Amazon has added this feature to at least 10,000 products on its e-commerce platform, across 76 categories.
Adding this feature to its platform is a clever move from Amazon, done ahead of its upcoming Prime Day Sale, to be live on July 15.
The website does not have a dedicated section specifically for finding personalized products. However, users can identify eligible products through the “personalise it” badge displayed in search results and the “customise now” button on product pages. Using relevant keywords such as ‘personalise’ or ‘custom’ in the search bar can also facilitate the discovery of eligible products. During India Today Tech’s review, the “personalise it” badge was observed on various items such as phone covers, mugs, bottles, keychains, and watches. Additionally, a range of home items, including curtains, furniture, and kitchen aprons, were found to have the option to be personalized.

In addition to the available options, users can upload personalized images and text for select brand phone covers. The font style can also be customized according to preference. Customers need to consider the size and resolution requirements when uploading their photos. During our investigation, we discovered custom phone covers designed specifically for the latest iPhone models and the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Moreover, there is also a “personalise it” option available for phone covers compatible with certain budget Android phones such as the Redmi Note 9 series, Samsung A31, and Vivo S1.

Fueled by the hyper trend of personalised products, we at Amazon India strive to widen the product selection soon,” said Manish Tiwary, Vice President and Country Manager, Consumer Business at Amazon India, in a release.
