Wearable manufacturer Fitbit, starting from January 2020, will shift production out of China to avoid paying unprecedented tariffs implemented on the country by the US. Fitbit didn’t reveal the new production location, however, its stocks surged soon after the announcement was made.

Fitbit now joins the list of companies – including GoPro and Google – that are either reducing or shifting production from China amid its tit-for-tat trade war with the US.
