Two key suspects in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case were detained by Punjab Police on Thursday. One among the detained ones is being investigated for supplying weapons to the killers. The Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moosewala was killed on May 29, 2022, after the state government restricted VIP security.
Two Detained By Punjab Police
Keshav and Charanjit Singh have been detained by the Punjab police in Sidhu Moosewala murder case . Both hail from Bhatinda and are known to be drug addicts. It is suspected that Keshav allegedly collected weapons from Amritsar and supplied them to the killers of the singer. Another thing being investigated is whether the weapons arrived via drone from Pakistan. A village at the border is also said to be under the police radar.
Sandeep Singh aka Kekda took selfies with Sidhu Moosewala outside his house on the day he was murdered. Chetan Sandhu was also with him on that day. As per the CCTV footage found by the police during the investigation, Chetan is also seen with Kekda. It is alleged that Sandeep Singh left on a bike while Chetan got into the Corolla car which was used by the sharpshooters on the day of the attack.
Search For Keshav In Sidhu Moosewala Murder Case
The police had been looking out for Keshav for the past two days. As per his mother and sister, he had not returned home since May 24. Keshav previously went under trial in the murder case of Lalit of Paras Ram Nagar, who was shot dead near the Bathinda Improvement Trust office in 2020. It is said that Keshav came into contact with Manpreet Singh while he was in Ferozepur jail. Manpreet Singh is accused of providing his car to the attackers of Moosewala with the help of Manpreet Bahu.
