After much of a drama over Baba Ramdev’s Coronil as a cure of COVID-19 and the ban on its sale, the ayurvedic medicine would be up for sale. However, the Patanjali made product would be sold as an immunity booster. Though Patanjali launched it as a cure to Corona the ayurvedic kit would now be just another immunity booster product.
Ramdev said that there are no AYUSH Ministry restrictions on selling Coronil, on Wednesday. Earlier the ministry said that Patanjali can sell the product but not as a cure for COVID-19. Yoga Guru’s company has also agreed to the changes stand on the product and is ready to roll into the market. The ministry has asked Patanjali to use the term Covid management in place of Covid treatment.
Conducting a press conference in Haridwar, Baba Ramdev claimed the ministry has said that Patanjali did an appropriate job for COVID-19 management. “I want to tell people who want to try these medicines that there is no restriction on their sale now and they will be available in a kit everywhere in the country from today“, he said.

Patanjali was also seen backtracking on its earlier made claims about the testing of the medicine. However, they maintained the stand that the drug’s trial on mild to moderately ill patients was successful. Many state governments banned the sale of Coronil after its launch due to uncertainties associated. The kit would now be free to be sold across the country and includes Diva Coronil tablet, Divya Swasari Vati, and Divya Anu Talia.
