Recently, Mumbai’s Crime Branch intelligence unit (CIU) got inspired to hunt down rackets dealing in fake followers and likes in the country and started their investigation with, of course, celebs. Among other celebs, singer and Rapper Badshah was quizzed by the CIU for over three days and as per the CIU’s claim, he invested Rs 75 lakh for promoting his song Pagal Hai with fake likes and followers.
As per a report by Times of India, The Crime branch said that Badshah accepted to paying Rs 75 lakhs to a company to generate fake likes and views on his video song Pagal Hai. He also paid 18% GST for the service.
CIU added that Badshah confessed that he wanted to create a world record making Pagal Hai the most matched video in 24 hours thus he bought fake likes and views.
As this happened, netizens went bonkers to troll Badshah for his misadventure and not so smart move.
