Carrying on their performance from Indore the Indian pacers continued there onslaught on Bangladeshi batsmen on the 1st day of the historic pink-ball Test at the Eden Gardens. Once again Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.

The Indore story continued at Eden Garden and the Bangladeshi side was down and out at 73/6 at the time of lunch on day 1. Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for India who grabbed a fifer.
Ishant sent half the Bangladeshi side back to pavilion with his figures of 12-4-22-5. Coming out to bat under lights India lost Mayank Agarwal early at the score of 26.
