India on Tuesday announced a 16-member squad for the two-match Test series it would play against New Zealand after the three-match ODI series that starts from Feburary 5. BCCI in the squad has replaced Rohit Sharma with 20-year-old Prithvi Shaw for the test series. For the unaware, Rohit has sustained a calf injury in the 5th T20.
Batsman Shubman Gill and pacer Navdeep Saini have also been named in the squad. Rishab Pant has retained his position as the reserve wicket-keeper in the squad. Jasprit Bumrah has also returned to the squad after being out of the past several home Test matches.
