Nationwide Strike
Starting from today the Trade Unions have announced the two-day nationwide strike. As per reports, the banks, roadways & electricity workers will be part of this strike. This decision is affecting many government services and the middle class is facing the worst.
As the strike begins the Ministry of Power has sent a letter to all the state governments to ensure the electricity supply. The joint strike of central and independent trade unions of distinct regions has taken place as they are against the policies of the government.
As per their demands, they want the government to revoke the labour code & cease the privatization of any kind. ALL INDIA BANK EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION has also said that the reason for joining the strike is to bring attention towards the benefit of the banking sector.
Available Services During Nationwide Strike
Several banks including SBI have said that some services will remain affected by the strike. But for the convenience of daily customers, the bank had already taken some measures to provide quality service. All the branches and offices are still executing necessary tasks. During the strike, customers can use online banking for essential banking tasks including payment transfer.
The National Convention Of Workers announced the strike from 6 AM March 28th to 6 AM March 29th. As a result, the Center has stated to CEA, National Load Despatch Center and Regional Load Despatch Center to ensure continuous power supply and maintenance.
In the form of Additional efforts, an emergency unit is on standby at every power station to deal with impulsive situations.

Bharat Bandh Other Points To Notice
- Reasons for Bandh are low interest rates on EPFO, rising fuel prices, privatizations etc.
- Roadways, transport workers, banks, and electricity workers are conducting a joint strike.
- Notice of strike is gave by the unions of respective sectors including “coal, steel, oil, telecom, postal, income tax, copper, banks and more.”
- Police have been arranging the travel facilities to railway stations, hospitals etc.
- The strike is being held under the slogan “Save People, Save Nation.”
