Punya Thirtha Yathirai, a Bharat Gaurav train, is scheduled to run under the management of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). On June 6, the train will leave Tirunelveli and go via Tambaram and Chennai Egmore to Gaya, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
The IRCTC states that the train will stop at the following locations: Tambaram – Chennai Egmore, Katpadi, Dindigul, Madurai, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Tirupadripulyur, Villupuram, Chengalpet, and Kovilpatti.

- For sleeper class travel for eight nights, the package would set you back Rs 18,850 per person.
- Both the hotel and the transportation are non-air-conditioned.
Under the name Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains, Indian Railways developed the idea of running tourist trains on circuits based on themes. The trips made on these trains cover a variety of circuits and are available as tour packages that include comfortable train travel and complimentary facilities onboard with off-board activities and bus excursions, hotel stays, tour guides, meals, and travel insurance, among other services.
