Cyclone Amphan had wreaked havoc in parts of Bengal and Odisha on Wednesday killing as many as 12 people. After the cyclone passed away, the videos and photos coming from the state show the chilling reality of destruction. Uprooted state of the West Bengal was visible in pictures showing fallen trees, buildings cracked and roads filled with water.
There was, however, some respite for residents of Bhubaneswar, who were greeted with purple-pink skies across and used Twitter to share photos from the city of Odisha.
“My city is an example that we bloom with grace no matter how stormy the times be,” a user wrote while sharing the pictures.
