Earlier, if you wanted to switch your mobile plan type, you had to wait a long 90 days before you could do it again. But now, the DoT has slashed this waiting period to just 30 days for your first switch. This means you can enjoy your new plan much sooner!
How Does the New Rule Work?

- Online or OTP Switches: If you use an OTP (One Time Password) or switch online, the 90-day waiting period still applies after the first switch.
- Want to Switch Sooner? No problem! You can visit your telecom operator’s store or an authorized retail outlet. By completing a simple KYC (Know Your Customer) process in person, you can switch plans even before the lock-in period ends.
