Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been lowered by petroleum and oil marketing businesses with immediate effect on Monday. According to reports, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹ 171.50. The price of home LPG cylinders, on the other hand, stays constant.
A 19 kg LPG cylinder will now cost ₹ 1,856.50 at retail in Delhi, and ₹ 1,808 at retail in Mumbai, down from ₹ 1,980 before. In Kolkata, the commercial LPG cylinder will cost ₹ 1,960.50, down from ₹ 2,132.00 before. It will cost ₹ 2,021 in Chennai, up from ₹ 2,192 before.
Commercial petrol costs tend to change more than home LPG cylinders. On the opening day of the fiscal year 2024, the tariff on commercial gas cylinders was reduced by ₹92 last month. In March, commercial LPG cylinder prices increased by 350.50 per unit, while household LPG cylinder prices increased by 50 per unit. It was raised by ₹ 25 in January.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices were raised four times and decreased three times in 2022.
Last September 1, the price of commercial cylinders was reduced by ₹ 91.50, while it was reduced by ₹ 36 in August. Rates were reduced by ₹ 8.5 per unit in July.
Online Gas Booking
Previously, booking an LPG gas cylinder was a time-consuming and inconvenient process because the only way to do so was to visit the LPG dealership in person. Most gas providers, on the other hand, allow customers to book gas cylinders online, making their services more consumer-friendly and transparent.

- Choose ‘Quick Book & Pay’.
- Enter the LPG ID or mobile number associated with the account.
- Enter the captcha and press the ‘Continue’ button.
- To reserve the gas cylinder, proceed to the next page.
Within the Mobile App
The following is the procedure for booking a cylinder using the gas provider’s official app:
- Launch the app on your phone and fill out the registration form.
- You will be able to reserve a petrol cylinder.
- To finish the procedure, make the payment.
- Payment can be done by debit card, credit card, net banking, or other means.
Customers can now opt to order their LPG refill cylinders by SMS
- The consumer must first register his or her cell number with the gas provider, and then follow a certain structure when sending the SMS.
- The SMS would have to be sent to a specific number, which may be located on the website of the relevant gas company.
