Important Facts To Know About Blue-Colored Aadhaar Card
- A blue-coloured Baal Aadhaar card is provided to a child below 5 years. It becomes invalid once the child attains the age of 5 years.
- Parents can use their child’s school ID (Photo ID issued by Recognized Educational Institution) for his/ her Aadhaar enrolment.
- Don’t forget to update the biometric Aadhaar data of your child at the age of 5 years and then again at the age of 15 years. This biometric update for children is Free. A mandatory biometric update is required to reactivate it.
- Your Aadhaar card along with the birth certificate or the discharge slip of the child you received from the hospital in order to enrol your child for Aadhaar.
- The Baal Aadhaar card data doesn’t include biometric information like Iris scan and fingerprints. Once the child attains the age of 5, biometrics need to be updated.

How to Apply for a Blue-Colored Aadhaar Card?
Applying for a Baal Aadhaar card or blue-coloured Aadhaar card is quite the same as the process for Adults. Simply fill up an application form available at the Enrolment centre. Attach the supporting documents, such as Proof of Identity (PoI), Proof of Address (PoA), Proof of Relationship (POR) and Date of Birth (DoB) document. UIDAI accepts 31 PoI and 44 PoA, 14 PoR and 14 DoB documents.
