In what can be said as an “out of the box” idea to limit air pollution by catching on the vehicular pollution two sisters from Mumbai have brought an additional ‘blue light’ to the traffic signal.

The two sisters Shivani and Esha Kot have created a prototype of what can be a four colour traffic signal with the blue light accompanying the usual red, yellow, and green. The blue light would blink 10 seconds after the red light and would come to stop 10 seconds below the red light goes off.

During the period the drivers of the vehicle would be required to switch off there vehicle’s engine. The idea is effective both in curbing air pollution and saving the fuel.
