Another day and Netflix is once again in news for purportedly promoting “love jihad“.
The OTT platform, Netflix, is under fire after a scene from its original, A Suitable Boy, irked a section of the society. The clip of the scene, that has now gone viral on the internet, has a Hindu character Lata Mehra (Taniya Maniktala) kissing her interfaith lover and that too inside a temple’s premises.
As the scene went viral, the pious and concerned section of the society slammed Netflix and its repeated attempts to plague Hindu culture.

Sharing the video, BJP leader Gaurav Tiwari questioned the filmmakers over filming the scene at a temple. Tiwari went a step further and also registered an FIR against Netflix.

Notably, Tiwari’s thoughts were echoed by other Twitter users as well, who slammed Netflix for hurting Hindu sentiments.

Notably, this is not the first time Netflix is in the news for such a reason. Months ago, Netflix’s Telugu movie named Krishna and His Leela had provoked the similar section of the society by, allegedly, disrespecting Hindu deities.
