The popular reality show Big Boss which has just started airing its 13th season has entered into controversies in the very first week. The show is known to experiment with new concepts each season and the concept this season has irked the viewers.

This year the concept of Bed Friends Forever (BFF) is adopted. As per this concept, every contestant is paired with another contestant of the opposite gender. The concept sounds objectional right from the very outset however it got noticed due to some other reasons.
A contestant on the show Mahira Sharma (Hindu by caste) was paired up with the Kashmiri Muslim model, Asim Riaz as a part of the BFF concept. This attracted reactions of love jihad against the show.

Further fuel to the frustration of viewers was added by a task on the show which involved kissing. As a result, Boycott_BigBoss, ‘JihadFehlataBiggBoss’, ‘BoycottSalmanKhan’ started trending on Twitter.
Filed complaint against the obscenity.

Many viewers have also registered complaints against the show with the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) which is the spokesman of India Broadcasting Industry and represents broadcasters in India.
Boycott of “Colors TV” which airs the show is also seen from the side of the users.
