While the boycotting Chinese wave is on high in the country the hotel association of Delhi has said no to ‘Chinese Guests’. The Delhi Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association announced that no Chinese national would be entertained by their hotels. The announcement was made by the association yesterday.
The decision means that Delhi’s 3,000 budget hotels and guest houses would close their doors for Chinese visiting the capital city. “The Chinese are not the world, we can survive without them as well. We are all law-abiding citizens and no one will take law in their hands, but this would make the Chinese worried… War and trade can not happen at the same time ” said Sandeep Khandelwal President Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).
The association said that they are also trying to bring five-star hotels on board and many have agreed. They also said that no one would be forced to follow the decision. The decision by the association comes at a time when the hospitality industry is facing the heat due to the pandemic.
