On Monday netizens trended the call for boycotting Karan Johar’s upcoming period drama movie ‘Takht‘. Though the Koffe with Karan host didn’t do anything wrong it was the writer of his movie who was taken under the hammer.
The writer of the movie ‘Takht‘ Hussain Haidry tweeted ‘Hindu Terrorist’ with the sentence written multiple times on Monday. Soon after this calls for boycotting the movie started trending. #BoycottTakht was seen trending yesterday.

The twitter account of Hiadry is disabled since then and shows ‘does not exist’ message on twitter. The movie Takht would star Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in lead roles.

A period drama ‘Takht‘ is a story of Mughal rivalry for the throne between Aurangzeb and his brother Dara Shikoh. Recently the release date of the movie was announced. The movie is set for a December 24th, 2021 release.
