Doing so, Kohli left the Paksitani legend Inzamam-ul-Haq behind on the list of most test centuries. Inzamam had scored 25 test tons in his career spanning 16 years.

Virat also became the first Indian skipper to score 40 international centuries. During his knock, he also left Dilip Vengasarkar behind in the run-scoring chart. Vengasarkar had scored 6,868 runs in his Test career.
Kohli now stands at 21st position in the list of most number of Test centuries topped by Sachin Tendulkar who has 51 Test centuries to his name.
