
Celebrate Independence Day with Indian Railways’ 10-Day Swarnim Bharat Yatra
Experience an unforgettable adventure as the Railways introduces the “Swarnim Bharat Yatra” tourist train under the Bharat Gaurav scheme. This unique journey begins from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station and is designed to celebrate the spirit of India’s Independence.
The “Swarnim Bharat Yatra” invites travellers to embark on a ten-day exploration of some of the country’s most significant historical and cultural destinations. The first stop is the iconic Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, a place closely linked to Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom movement.
The journey continues to the beautifully carved Adalaj Stepwell, followed by a visit to Modhera, renowned for its ancient Sun Temple. Travellers will also explore Patan, home to the magnificent Rani Ki Vav, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Kevadia, guests will marvel at the Statue of Unity and the impressive Sardar Sarovar Dam. The tour then heads to Pune, where the Aga Khan Palace stands as a symbol of the Quit India Movement. Visitors can also seek blessings at the revered Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga.
The adventure moves onward to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), offering a chance to discover the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, both celebrated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as the sacred Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga. Before returning to Delhi, the tour includes stops at the historic Jhansi Fort and the enchanting temples and palaces of Orchha.
