The State Bank of India (SBI) has raised the yearly maintenance rates for multiple types of SBI debit cards, including Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless, effective April 1. According to the official website, the existing yearly maintenance prices will be revised starting next month.
The yearly maintenance costs for several SBI debit card types, including as Yuva, Gold, Combo, and Platinum Debit Cards, have increased by Rs 75.
New Rates For SBI Debit Cardholders Are As Follows
- The costs for the Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless categories have been hiked to Rs 200+ GST from Rs 125+ GST.
- The costs for Yuva, Gold, Combo Debit Card, and My Card categories have increased to Rs 250+ GST from Rs 175+ GST.
- Platinum debit card costs have risen to Rs 325+ GST from Rs 250+ GST.
- The rates for the Pride Premium Business debit card have been hiked to Rs 425+ GST from Rs 350+ GST.
The public lender will additionally modify the costs for issuing and replacing debit cards. Starting April 1, a variety of changes have been made to select credit cards, including the suspension of some credit cards’ ability to earn reward points on rent payment transactions. Meanwhile, certain credit cards’ collected reward points from rent payment transactions will expire on April 15.
SBI has also announced modifications in issuance costs and other services for debit card holders, as well as revisions to its yearly maintenance rates. According to the bank notice, SBI account customers will now have to spend a minimum of Rs 300 to apply for a Platinum debit card; however, Classic, Silver, Gold, and Contactless debit cards will continue to be issued free of charge.
Furthermore, account users will be charged a cost of Rs 25 plus GST for checking their balance at ATMs as part of the International transaction charges. Other transaction fees include a minimum of Rs 100 and 3.5% of the transaction amount + GST for ATM cash withdrawal operations.
