China on Monday declined to congratulate Joe Biden on his recent US Presidential election win claiming that the outcome of the election was still to be determined.
This comes amidst Donald Trump’s denial to concede as he has launched several legal actions alleging that the counting of the votes was not fair.

However, many world leaders from across the countries, including India, have already congratulated Joe Biden and accepted him as the 46th President of the United States of America.
China, after denying to accept Joe Biden as the winner, joined the small list of countries – Russia and Mexico – that are yet to congratulate Biden on his win.

“Our understanding is that the outcome of the election will be determined in accordance with US laws and procedures,” China’s foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a press briefing on Monday adding, “we hope the new US government can meet China halfway.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, who seems to be in no mood to accept the defeat took on Twitter to write, “Since when does the Lamestream Media call who our next president will be?”
