Polling is underway in the 2nd of the 5-phase election in the state of Jharkhand. The 82 seat assembly is witnessing pollings for 20 seats in the second phase with the fate of some high profile candidates to be sealed in the ballot.

Amongst 20 seats Cheif Minister Raghubar Das’s Jamshedpur East constituency is also undergoing polling. Apart from Das state Assembly speaker Dinesh Oraon, former state food supply minister Saryu Roy are amongst the list of contestants.

The results of the multi-phase elections would be announced on 23rd December leading to the swearing-in of a new government in the state.
