Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that people should stick to the Covid-19 safety measures if the state is to continue lockdown. He also said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was in support to extend the Maharashtra lockdown if the fresh Covid-19 cases continue to rise.
Meanwhile, he defended the state’s response in terms of rising cases and said that many states are at worse. Rajesh Tope met the CM two days ago. As per the news agency PTI reports, the minister said that “He told me that if the number of daily cases in the state remains in the range of 25,000 to 30,000 for the next some days, then we will have to take some stringent steps. He believes that if the numbers continue to increase, we will have to impose lockdown in some cities”.

He additionally added to his statement that people are appealed to respond CM’s warning positively and stick to the COVID-19 protocols to avoid Maharashtra’s lockdown.
However, on Monday, Maharashtra reports 24,645 new cases fresh cases. Before this, the count for Covid-19 fresh cases was 30,535 on Sunday, 27,126 on Saturday, and 25,833 cases on Friday. These counts have raised the Covid-19 patients to 25, 04,327 in Maharashtra.
