In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 41,195 new Covid-19 cases along with 490 deaths says the figures released by the Union Health Ministry said. On Thursday, till 8 am, India’s active cases record a total of 3,86,351. The health ministry says that new covid cases in India have declined by 2,157 in the past 24 hours.
However, the top five states registering the highest number of Covid-19 cases are Kerala with 23,500 cases, Maharashtra with 5,560 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,964 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 1,869 cases and Karnataka with 1,826 cases.

Kerala alone reports 84.29 per cent of the new cases from these five states. The maximum number of fatalities because of Covid-19 in Maharashtra (163) and Kerala reports 116 daily deaths. As per the health ministry data, India’s recovery rate stood at 97.45 per cent.
India has administered a total of 41,38,646 doses in the last 24 hours, which pushed the total tally of doses administered to 51,90,80,524.
A total of 21,24,953 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
