The third phase of India’s Covid-19 vaccination begins from today for above 18 years. Some top private hospitals announced the launch of immunization programs for people who fall between18 to 44 years.
Apollo Hospitals
Apollo Hospitals starts only a limited vaccine roll out for 18+ adults on Saturday. The vaccine drive will boost further. On Friday, Apollo Hospitals in a statement said, “vaccination for those above 18 years of age will begin at Apollo facilities in cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata on May 1.”
As per the sources from the hospital, the hospital continues to take part in the world’s largest preventive vaccination drive. However, vaccinations for the 18-45 years of age group will not begin in Delhi’s Apollo centers on May 1 because supplies are still expected. Vaccinations for this age group are likely to begin in Delhi on May 3 or May 4.

After discussion with manufacturers, Apollo’s centers will distribute Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin at Rs 1,200 per dose and Serum Institute of India’s Covishield for Rs 800 per dose.
Fortis Hospitals
Fortis Healthcare sets to manage Covid-19 vaccines to people above 18 years of age at its centers across north India from May 1 onwards. The centers will start immunization in this phase once the required supplies are available to them. One dose of Covaxin will be priced at Rs 1,250 at Fortis’ vaccination centers.
Sir Ganga Ram Hospital
In Delhi, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has not begun its vaccination drive as it has not yet received the required supplies.
Max Healthcare
Max Healthcare says that it is ready for the Covid-19 vaccination for people aged before 18 years from May 1 onwards. The vaccine is available in Patparganj, Panchsheel Park, Rajendra Place (BLK-Max Hospital), Noida, and Vaishali in the Delhi-NCR region.
