Just minutes after starting Covid-19 registration for 18+ adults, India’s Covid-19 vaccination portal crashed on Wednesday. Also, glitches are reported on the Aarogya Setu App. However, no need to worry as both platforms are back online. Thus, if you are 18 or above, register yourself now.

Taking on Twitter, the National Health Authority chief RS Sharma said “79.65 lakh people registered for vaccinations on the first day. We have seen a traffic of 55,000 hits per second. System functioning as expected”.
The registrations for Covid-19 opened at 4 pm, and users complaint that they are unable to load the CoWIN website or not receiving OTPs to log in.
The National Health Authority CEO, RS Sharma, told the media, “On many days, we have had around 5 million people registering in a day. We expect more than double that number today.”
He added that “We think our system will be able to take the load when registrations open today.”
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said “Earlier this month, the central government made it mandatory for those aged between 18 and 45 to register themselves on one of the two portals to get vaccinated. No walk-ins will be allowed in the initial stages of the third phase”.
