As per the leaked documents that reveal the exchanges between Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Tinder Co-founder Sean Rad, the former had allowed dating app Tinder special access to user data, which helped the latter thrive in 2015. The documents come from a 2015 lawsuit by bikini photo app Six4Three.

Facebook reportedly wanted Tinder to share trademark rights on “MOMENTS”, a photo app that Facebook was planning to launch. To recall, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg considered entering the online dating business far back as 2014, however, the service was only launched back in September this year.
