Bharat Bandh was announced by farmer unions against the recently enacted farm laws and farmer’s call for bandh has ever since been supported by opposition parties.
Meanwhile, as the farmers continue to agitate against the farm laws outside Delhi, the countrymen stand divide with some favouring the new farm reforms while others not so in support of the same.
The division has surely divided people on the call for Bharat Bandh too.
Ever since Bharat bandh had been announced, a section of people was seen trending Bharat bandh nhi hoga on Twitter and other calling for the bandh.
With that being a fact, we decided to check, in pictures, if Bharat, as on December 8, is really bandh or not? Have a look:
Note: West Bengal CM, Mamta Banerjee, has said that she, and her party, doesn’t support Bharat Bandh.
The reality, in a nutshell, is that Bharat, wherever bandh, is ‘mostly’ due to the fear of damage of personal property (mostly done by opposition parties workers) of people who are not in support of bandh or just don’t want to be involved in any way.

Meanwhile, if you ask the farmers agitating at the border, they have had called for a peaceful bandh and thus have also reduced the time of the same to ensure no common man gets affected.
Thus, people forcing others to call the bandh and abide by it against their will surely don’t resonate with the farmer’s thoughts and is mostly done for political gains.
In the meantime, one must also not ignore the people who are genuinely in support of Bharat bandh and have shuttered their business to stand beside the annadatas of India.
